My full name is Betty Musser Cox. I am a bead embroidery artist. I started stringing beads in 2009 and did polymer clay and resin until I found my snitch. I was first a professional cellist with a Bachelor degree in Music Performance and later acquired an Associate degree in Nursing and practiced as an RN in 1987. I then acquired my Masters of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Nurse Midwifery and practiced for a large HMO in California until retirement 4/2020. My husband and son and I retired to Delaware, Ohio and finally able to devote all my time to beading.

I have exhibited and taught on both west and eastern coasts of the USA and in Italy. I’ve also been published in the USA and International bead magazines. At present I have 2 works displayed in an art gallery in Venice, Italy through 1/10/22.  I’ve participated in art catalogues, bead magazines and competitions for the last 8 years which has motivated me to create large bead works. I enjoy sharing my free form Beaded art and jewelry and love teaching. I’m often inspired by a theme or focal piece. My work has been described as colorful, wild, macaque, Mardi Gras, Peter Max era from the 60s and Venetian.
